Introducing our more sustainable new look.
We are thrilled to share some very exciting news in the world of Laphroaig.
Today, we unveil a fresh new look to our packaging, as part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.
Rest assured the soul of Laphroaig remains unchanged. Our distinctive black and white label, paired with the iconic green bottle have been retained but we've made thoughtful adjustments to our packaging to create a more sustainable experience.
Our new packaging will reduce CO2 emissions by 30%, and to put it into perspective, this is equivalent to planting an impressive 30,711 saplings and nurturing them for ten years.
Say Goodbye to Plastic, Welcome Beech Wood
In an effort to reduce our plastic usage we've replaced the plastic bar top with a beech wood alternative.
We're excited to introduce a new recycling-friendly carton to replace the secondary packaging tube. This also allows us to showcase our brand heritage. Look out for the embossed Laphroaig lettering, a nod to our cherished distillery on Islay, and the hand-crafted distillery address on the front of the pack.
Oak Select
As part of this transformation, we are proud to rename our beloved 'Select' expression to 'Oak Select.' This name change reflects the crucial role of casks in shaping the unique flavor profile of our whisky. The whisky itself remains unchanged, crafted from spirits taken from five different oak casks and skillfully blended to perfection.
